In December of 2023, we proudly acquired this beautiful property from RayLen Vineyards, marking a new chapter for Rayson Winery and Vineyards. Established by JW and Kristen Ray, who began their winemaking journey with JOLO Winery & Vineyards in Pilot Mountain, NC, Rayson Winery is nestled in the heart of North Carolina’s largest AVA, the Yadkin Valley. The name Rayson is a tribute to their two sons, Joey and Logan Ray, who play an integral role in our family winery, bringing the family spirit into every part of the Rayson experience from vine to vintage.

Today, Joey and Logan are essential members of our winery family. You might find Joey working side-by-side with his father, JW, in the vineyards, crafting exceptional wines with our dedicated winemaking team, or assisting his mother, Kristen, during wine club events. Logan brings his expertise to off-site events, conducts tastings for restaurants, and helps distribute our wines throughout the state while also supporting our wine club gatherings, ensuring every event celebrates our commitment to quality.

Since acquiring the property, we’ve elevated it to enhance every visit. With a full tasting room renovation, expanded outdoor seating, and the addition of a Founder’s Reserve Lounge, we aim to provide a luxurious and inviting environment for our guests. In May of 2024, we opened our world-class restaurant, Bistro Europa, which was honored with OpenTable’s prestigious Diner’s Choice Award just three months after opening. Bistro Europa expanded in October 2024, adding a beautiful indoor dining space to elevate the guest experience even further.
